STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 The FDNY quashed a battery fire in Sunnyside on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

The e-bike fire was reported at 8:57 a.m. between residential buildings at 1152 Victory Boulevard, according to a spokesperson for the FDNY and EMS.<\/p>\n

The fire was extinguished and HazMat workers packaged and disposed of the battery, the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

No injuries were reported in the blaze, the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

A man at the scene was using a bucket to remove the large amount of water that was left in the area following the FDNY response.<\/p>\n
