President Donald Trump\u2019s childhood home in Queens, New York<\/a>, has finally found a buyer after getting a total makeover last year.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Tudor-style<\/a>\u00a0home was built by Trump\u2019s father, real estate developer Fred Trump, in the wealthy neighborhood of Jamaica Estates in 1940, and the Trump family lived there until 1950, when the president was 4 years old. They then moved into a larger home in the same neighborhood.<\/p>\n

The seller, real estate developer Tommy Lin, bought the home in March 2025 for $835,000, records with PropertyShark show. The house was a mess\u2014it had a leaky roof, an overgrown yard and a group of feral cats had taken up residence. But Lin couldn\u2019t pass up the opportunity to renovate the president\u2019s former home, despite it being an unusual project for him as he typically works on condo projects in Brooklyn.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only reason I took on this project was because it\u2019s Trump\u2019s childhood house,\u201d Lin\u00a0previously told Mansion Global<\/a>. Lin couldn\u2019t immediately be reached for further comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lin spent eight months and about $500,000 remodeling the 3,100-square-foot, five-bedroom home, repairing any damage while also giving it entirely new, modern interiors. He first had it listed for sale last November for $2.3 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The home was removed from the market by the end of January, then relisted in March for $2.2 million for a short time. It returned again in mid-May with a new agent, Joe Zhu of Re\/Max Edge and was last asking a hair below $2 million. The home was pending sale as of Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Zhu didn\u2019t immediately respond to a request for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n
