New York State Senator Bill Weber Visits Crown Heights, Strengthening Ties With the Chabad Community<\/p>\n

New York State Senator\u00a0Bill Weber, who represents Rockland County\u2014home to a large Jewish population, including many Lubavitcher families in Monsey, Pomona, and the growing Chabad community in\u00a0New City, NY,\u00a0made his first visit to Crown Heights\u00a0gaining a firsthand look at the heart of the worldwide Chabad-Lubavitch movement.\u00a0Senator Weber\u2019s visit held particular significance as many of his constituents are members of the Chabad community.<\/p>\n

Hosted by the\u00a0Crown Heights Republican Committee\u00a0(CHRC) and\u00a0local community leaders, Senator Weber\u00a0toured Kingston Avenue with NYS Gubernatorial candidate<\/a>\u00a0Bruce Blakeman, discussing mutual issues\u00a0that both our communities face in regards to\u00a0shelters and concerns with public safety, antisemitism and the attacks on our Yeshivas\u00a0by Albany Democrats.<\/p>\n

Afterwards the Senator visited\u00a0770 Eastern Parkway\u2014Chabad Lubavitch global headquarters, where he visited the Rebbe\u2019s Shul and\u00a0Library, learning more about the history, legacy, and\u00a0worldwide work of\u00a0Chabad-Lubavitch and the movements\u00a0far-reaching impact.<\/p>\n

Senator Weber was accompanied by Monsey\u00a0Askan\u00a0R\u2019\u00a0Binyomin Nezri.<\/p>\n

Weber, whose wife and children are proudly Jewish,\u00a0is from the leading pro-Yeshiva and pro-Israel New York Senator\u2019s supporting, advocating, sponsoring bills and voting on legislation\u00a0to benefit\u00a0the statewide Jewish community.\u00a0Senator Weber, a moderate Republican, has been fighting against far-left policies to help all his constituents in all Rockland County neighborhoods and communities\u00a0to benefit his district.<\/p>\n

Senator Weber is also a strong supporter of the Shluchim and Chabad Houses in his district, including in Nyack, NY, and Suffern, NY.<\/p>\n

The visit offered Senator Weber a meaningful opportunity to experience the spiritual and cultural center of Chabad-Lubavitch firsthand and to further strengthen his relationship and\u00a0deepen his understanding of a community that plays an important role not only in Crown Heights but also throughout Rockland County, where many Lubavitch families call home and\u00a0ensure their voices are heard in Albany.<\/p>\n

It also marked the beginning of what many are hopeful\u00a0will be a lasting partnership between the Senator, Rockland County\u00a0Askonim,\u00a0and the Crown Heights community.<\/p>\n

The Senator expressed his desire to visit the Rebbe\u2019s Ohel at a later date.<\/p>\n
