{"id":300625,"date":"2026-07-20T14:42:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-20T14:42:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/300625\/"},"modified":"2026-07-20T14:42:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-20T14:42:08","slug":"person-in-custody-after-alleged-incendiary-device-attack-at-nyc-fbi-building-wsb-tv-channel-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/300625\/","title":{"rendered":"Person in custody after alleged incendiary device attack at NYC FBI building &#8211; WSB-TV Channel 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">NEW YORK \u2014 A person is in custody after they allegedly set off what the FBI called an \u201cincendiary device\u201d at the agency\u2019s building in New York City.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The building is located at 26 Federal Plaza on Foley Square, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnewyork.com\/new-york-city\/smoke-device-goes-off-outside-26-federal-plaza\/6527840\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnewyork.com\/new-york-city\/smoke-device-goes-off-outside-26-federal-plaza\/6527840\/\">WNBC<\/a> reported. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Smoke billowed from the ground as personnel raced from the building. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The building also houses Immigration and Customs Enforcement offices. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BillMelugin_\/status\/2079203258724471267\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow\" title=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BillMelugin_\/status\/2079203258724471267\">Fox News<\/a> reported the FBI released a statement which read, \u201cThis morning an individual deployed an incendiary device outside of 26 Federal Plaza.
