Police say a woman is dead after being taken to the hospital from a holistic medicine center in The Bronx. <\/p>\n
The facility in question is located on Riverdale Avenue.<\/p>\n
Police got a 911 call from the hospital where she was taken. The staff told police a 27-year-old woman was found unconscious and unresponsive. She was pronounced dead not long after officers got there.<\/p>\n
There is no word from police on exactly how the woman died. Police arrested Luis Rojas Cabrera, 55, and charged him with reckless endangerment and unauthorized practice of a profession.<\/p>\n
The center’s website states that Cabrera is a surgeon, naturopath and a member of the Dominican Medical College.<\/p>\n
Sources say the victim was injected by an unknown substance.
