Last night, The National\u2019s Aaron Dessner joined Noah Kahan during his big show at Queens, NY\u2019s CitiField. Dessner, who produced the rising Vermont singer\/songwriter\u2019s 2026 album The Great Divide, emerged during the night\u2019s encore for \u201cEnd of August,\u201d a standout track the pair co-wrote for the new LP. Dessner has nurtured a second career as a pop-music producer since partnering with Taylor Swift on 2020\u2019s folklore and evermore and has since joined several bands he has worked with at stadiums around the country, including Mumford & Sons earlier this summer<\/a>. He also sat at the helm for close collaborator Grace Abrams\u2019 third studio album, Daughter from Hell, which was released this past Friday.<\/p>\n

During yesterday\u2019s show, Kahan apologized for having to cancel the previous night\u2019s CitiField concert due to weather. From the stage he said, \u201cI\u2019ve cancelled six in my life, and they\u2019ve only ever been when we cannot do anything else but cancel the show. I would play in a fucking hole of a volcano for y\u2019all. I promise you we did everything, everything we could. Weird shit to try to reschedule it, and I\u2019m sorry. I just feel horrible, and I know people will see this and I just want you to know I\u2019m really sorry. You deserve better than that.\u201d <\/p>\n

Kahan\u2019s The Great Divide Tour continues<\/a> at Washington, DC\u2019s Nationals Park this coming Wednesday.
