Saratoga Springs, NY \u2014 Social Service leaders from Counties across New York State will see a private viewing of InhuMAINE on Tuesday, a documentary about homelessness in Bangor, Maine. <\/p>\n

The internationally-recognized film was selected to be presented at the New York Public Welfare Association (NYPWA) Conference this week, aiming to build conversations and an exchange of ideas regarding homelessness. <\/p>\n

“We’re a really great microcosm to the rest of the country,” documentarian and clinical mental health professional Rogan O’Donnell said. “In being so, we’re able to share and show that if it’s happening here, and we don’t have the ability to solve those problems, and we keep trying, just as it is in all of New York State, then maybe we come together instead of being separated by these lines, because it’s now no longer just a state by state problem. It’s a national humanitarian crisis. We can come together and start communicating as a whole on how we could all work together to create solutions.”<\/p>\n

The film will be shown at the private event, but if you’re interested you can rent the film here<\/a>. They say 100 percent of funds goes to services and organizations. <\/p>\n
