A 17-year-old girl is expected to recover after police say she was shot multiple times late Monday night outside a McDonald’s in East New York.<\/p>\n
Police tell us they received a 911 call just before midnight for a person shot in front of 835 Pennsylvania Ave., near Linden Boulevard.<\/p>\n
When officers arrived, they found the teenager with multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen. She was taken to Brookdale Hospital and is expected to be OK.<\/p>\n
By early Tuesday morning, the scene was still active. The entrance to the McDonald’s drive-thru remained blocked off with police tape. A white Honda was still parked facing the wrong direction in the drive-thru, with what appeared to be a bullet hole in the windshield and the driver’s door left open.<\/p>\n
So far, investigators have not said what led to the shooting or whether the girl knew the person who shot her. No arrests have been made.<\/p>\n
The violence left neighbors shaken. “That sucks. I just heard about the girl in the train, now this. I think everybody losing their mind around here. That shocks me. It’s not normal.
