(WIBW) &#8211; A Haskell County Sheriff\u2019s Office vehicle was damaged in an attempted burglary Monday night in Manhattan, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The incident was reported around 7:07 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of S. 3rd Street in Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Riley County police officers filed a report for attempted theft of property or services and criminal damage to property in the case.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Authorities were investigating the attempted burglary of a Haskell County sheriff\u2019s vehicle...\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/RJB7AKBVSZGSXGY6HRVDA6VIWI.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"564\" \/>Authorities were investigating the attempted burglary of a Haskell County sheriff\u2019s vehicle Monday night in Manhattan.(Live 5 News)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Haskell County Sheriff\u2019s Office was listed as the victim when it was reported that an unknown person damaged an unmarked vehicle during an attempted burglary. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The total estimated damage associated with this incident is more than $1,000.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">There was no word on why the Haskell County Sheriff\u2019s Office vehicle was in Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">No arrests had been reported as of 10:31 a.m. Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Haskell County is located in southwest Kansas.
