It also breathes new life into an Art Deco gem <a href=\"https:\/\/gothamist.com\/news\/historic-laguardia-airport-terminal-deserted-after-spirit-airlines-shutdown\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">that\u2019s been vacant<\/a> since Spirit moved out in May.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"2bh9q\">The tiny terminal, which has just six gates, dates back to the 1940s and is on the National Register of Historic Places. While the rest of LaGuardia Airport was rebuilt through a project that wrapped up in 2022, the Marine Air Terminal, or Terminal A, was kept intact.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"580co\">JetBlue currently operates out of Terminal B at LaGuardia but is expected to move its operation to the historic terminal if the deal closes as expected.
