Cops say he is wanted in the slaying of 29-year-old Yeimy Reyes, a DJ also from the Bronx.<\/p>\n<p>The incident unfolded at around 4:26 a.m. on July 16 at the M Lounge located at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/search\/2362+Jerome+Avenue?entry=gmail&amp;source=g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">2362 Jerome Ave. in Fordham Heights<\/a>. Officers from the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nypd46pct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">46th Precinct<\/a> responded after a 911 call reported an assault in progress.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators believe the incident stemmed from some kind of altercation between the two men inside the night spot\u2019s basement, during which the victim reportedly pulled a handgun from his waistband. Aguero allegedly then shot Reyes in the head and stole both his gun and his watch.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-137860679\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/IMG_4336.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"260\" height=\"891\" title=\"Police ID man wanted for fatally shooting Bronx DJ 2\"\/>Person of interest has been identified as 24-year-old Bronx resident Luis Aguero. Cops say he is wanted in the slaying of 29-year-old Yeimy Reyes, a DJ also from the Bronx.NYPD<\/p>\n<p>EMS rushed to the lounge and pronounced Reyes dead at the scene. He was known for his music on social media and had over 10,000 followers on SoundCloud.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, police say that Aguero has two prior charges, one for operating a vehicle without a license and the other for resisting arrest.\n<\/p>\n<p>Authorities are asking anyone who may know his whereabouts to come forward.
