{"id":303475,"date":"2026-07-23T03:01:04","date_gmt":"2026-07-23T03:01:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/303475\/"},"modified":"2026-07-23T03:01:04","modified_gmt":"2026-07-23T03:01:04","slug":"news-12-bronx-duo-targets-multiple-women-in-chain-snatching-spree","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/303475\/","title":{"rendered":"News 12 | Bronx | Duo Targets Multiple Women In Chain Snatching Spree"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Police are searching for two suspects accused of targeting women in a 15-robbery chain-snatching spree across the Bronx and Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Investigators say the pair stole more than $8,000 worth of jewelry between May 28 and July 10, approaching women on a scooter or motorcycle before ripping necklaces from their necks and speeding away.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Police say one of the most violent attacks happened June 26 near 535 E. 187th St., where an 18-year-old woman suffered a neck injury after her chain was allegedly ripped from her neck.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The latest robbery happened July 10 near Walton Avenue and East 171st Street, where a 26-year-old woman had an $800 chain stolen from her.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Anyone who recognizes the suspects, their bike or their clothing is asked to contact NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
