The impact left a dent. She managed to avoid devastating injuries, missing pipes and jagged nails that could have impaled her.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Firefighters had to wait for the MTA to cut power to the third rail before getting to her. It took more than 10 minutes before rescuers were given the all-clear. Straphangers realized she was alive when crews got to her, and she screamed in pain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">She was taken to Brookdale Hospital with a broken leg.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Another reminder from MTA officials that subway surfing is dangerous.
