All the Way Home, a new musical from\u00a0Ragtime<\/a>\u00a0Tony winners\u00a0Stephen Flaherty<\/a> and Lynn Ahrens<\/a>, will be part of\u00a0The York Theatre’s\u00a0NEW2NY Series, which presents limited runs of new musicals in development.<\/p>\n

With music by Flaherty, lyrics by Ahrens, and a book by the late\u00a0Frank Galati<\/a>, the April 3-11, 2027,\u00a0engagement at The Theater at St. Jean’s will be directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes<\/a>. Based on James Agee<\/a>\u2019s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel A Death in the Family and its Pulitzer Prize-winning stage adaptation,\u00a0All the Way Home,\u00a0the musical was originally titled Knoxville and was first produced at Sarasota’s\u00a0Asolo\u00a0Repertory Theatre.\u00a0The musical tells a
\n universal story of family, faith, and love, as an author recalls the
\nsingular event that changed his life as a boy. This developmental
\nproduction will be presented in association with Willette Klausner, Ted
\nSnowdon, and Riki Kane Larimer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Two other musicals will be part of the upcoming York\u00a0series, which will launch March 6-14, 2027, with\u00a0Sometimes Love,\u00a0featuring music and lyrics by Michael Mott, a book by\u00a0Gretchen Su\u00e1rez-Pe\u00f1a, and direction by\u00a0Peter Flynn<\/a>. The original musical, presented in association with Red Hanger Productions and Bee and Tea
\nProductions, is\u00a0inspired by the true
\nstory of Aryana Rose, whose presentation at The Moth
\ncaptivated millions after it went viral in 2017. Rose, single, in her 40s, and the mother of a grown daughter, moves overseas to begin a new
\nchapter centered on herself and art, but\u00a0fate leads her to Gianluca, a free-spirited artist many years her junior who awakens her
\nheart in ways she never imagined possible.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The series will also include\u00a0Nikola Tesla: The Forgotten Genius, which will be presented March 20-28. With a book, music, and lyrics by\u00a0Robert Lindsey-Nassif and a story by\u00a0Cavan Hallman, this developing musical will be directed by\u00a0John Znidarsic. The production follows the true story of Tesla, the mystic,
\ngenius, and inventor who battled Thomas Edison to bring electricity to
\nthe world.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Casting will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n
