Google Maps<\/p>\n<p>The victim was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he is expected to survive.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The shooter had not been caught hours later.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The violence came weeks after <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/07\/22\/us-news\/gun-toting-robber-shoots-nyc-uber-driver-in-face-during-violent-stick-up-cops-sources\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a gun-toting passenger<\/a> shot a rideshare driver in the face during a robbery in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens around the same time July 11, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That cabbie, too, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and the suspect has not been caught.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.29330254;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"40079769\" width=\"560\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/parleny-com-whitman-houses-embodies-135383411.jpg\" alt=\"NYCHA's Whitman Houses\" class=\"wp-image-40079769\"  \/>The victim was hospitalized in stable condition and the shooter has not yet been caught.
