Another year of not being in the mood to write about this team post White House visit. The Dodgers (65-38) won the rubber match in Philly on Wednesday and most of them celebrated their championship with a fascist. They wrap up their 10-game road trip with three against the Mets, who are having a typically Mets season. They\u2019ve been bad (43-60, last in the NL East and the fifth-worst record in baseball) and will likely be sellers next week headed into the trade deadline. They\u2019ve lost six of the nine games they\u2019ve played since the break and have the fifth-worst team wRC+ (92), but have very middle-of-the-pack pitching numbers (15th-best team ERA, 11th-best team FIP). The Dodger swept the Mets in LA back in April, outscoring them 14-3 in the three games. <\/p>\n

Sean Manaea<\/a> makes his eighth start and 22nd outing of the season for the Mets. Manaea moved to the rotation on June 13 and has been okay as a starter, with a 4.42 ERA\/4.77 FIP in 36 2\/3 innings. He\u2019s allowed two homers in each of his three June starts, and the Mets are 2-5 when Manaea starts. <\/p>\n With a lefty on the hill, Miguel Rojas<\/a> starts at second and hits sixth.
