An apparent stranger slashed a Bronx straphanger during an evening rush-hour clash Thursday, cops said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The menace, who sported a white beard, got into an argument with the 26-year-old victim as he stepped off a northbound No. 4 train at the East 167th Street & River Avenue station around 5:50 p.m., police said.<\/p>\n
He then cut the victim on the right side of his face, cops said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The attack came hours after a teen was battered with a metal bottle and put in a chokehold by a stranger who thought he was filming him on board a Lower Manhattan train Thursday afternoon, cops and sources said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The suspect cut the victim on the right side of his face, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The brute confronted the 19-year-old victim \u2013 who he assumed was taking a video of him \u2013 around 4:30 p.m. on board an uptown 5 train nearing the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station, according to authorities and law enforcement sources.<\/p>\n
The irate suspect then clobbered the young man with the bottle, repeatedly punched him in the face and placed him in a chokehold, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The attacker then got off the train and fled the scene, police said.<\/p>\n

The NYPD released surveillance images of the goateed suspect, seen in the station wearing a black hoodie pulled up over his white baseball cap, and black shorts.<\/p>\n
