The free performance is in partnership with the bank and takes place Aug. 7 at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGreat music doesn\u2019t only belong inside concert halls; it belongs wherever people gather,\u201d said Philip Nuzzo, music director and conductor of the Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra. \u201cThat\u2019s why we\u2019re excited to transform an everyday parking lot into an open-air concert experience where neighbors can come together, enjoy a summer evening and discover the joy of live orchestral music.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The stroll has returned for its 14th year. Throughout the season, there are four Fridays when businesses, local leaders, elected officials and thousands of people congregate to celebrate Bay Ridge with live music, food, shopping, information booths and more, rain or shine.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/orchestra2-scaled.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-404775\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/orchestra2-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"The Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra will perform during the Summer Stroll on Third Avenue Aug. 7. Photo: Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra<\/p>\n<p>The performance will feature an orchestra of 30 professional musicians and will showcase Broadway and opera vocalist Amelia Milo and clarinetist Yu Ting.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The program will include \u201cThe Star-Spangled Banner,\u201d Aaron Copland\u2019s \u201cHoe-Down from Rodeo,\u201d George Gershwin\u2019s \u201cThey Can\u2019t Take That Away from Me\u201d and \u201cSummertime,\u201d Arturo M\u00e1rquez\u2019s \u201cDanz\u00f3n No. 2,\u201d and additional Broadway selections.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/brooklynchamberorchestra.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra<\/a> was founded in 2002 by conductor Philip Nuzzo. It is the borough\u2019s only resident professional chamber orchestra presenting a regular subscription season.\u00a0The orchestra says it presents a dynamic range of orchestral, choral, educational and family programming that brings world-class musicians and guest artists together with audiences across Brooklyn.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKnown for its expansive programming, Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra presents everything from orchestral masterworks and major choral repertoire to live-to-film performances, family concerts and innovative collaborations,\u201d the group stated. \u201cThrough artistic excellence, community partnerships and a commitment to accessibility, the orchestra continues to make live orchestral music a vibrant and welcoming part of Brooklyn\u2019s cultural life.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAY RIDGE \u2014 The Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra is headed to Bay Ridge.
