According to the FDA, the recall stems from an \u201cinternal packaging defect that may result in the presence of a strand of soft, food-grade plastic in the finished product.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The company initiated the recall after being informed by the packaging supplier that it had started a production run of defective packages.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">\u201cPT Organics\u2019 inspections of finished product made with the recalled packaging confirmed the presence of a strand of soft, food-grade plastic attached to the inside of a small number of pouches,\u201d the <a data-rich-text-hyperlink=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/pt-organics-limited-recalls-select-pumpkin-tree-peter-rabbit-organics-banana-strawberry-fruit-puree\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FDA recall<\/a> says.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The pouches were sold nationwide at stores including Target between March 6 and July 13 of this year. According to the FDA, no injuries have been reported, and no other Pumpkin Tree brand products or flavors were impacted.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The affected pouches contain a best-before date of Jan. 19, 2027, Jan. 20, 2027, March 13, 2027, May 14, 2027 and May 15, 2027.
