The Union achieved historic gains in this collective bargaining cycle, including introducing a salary step scale for all workers, significantly eroding management rights, and successfully staving off the employers&#8217; proposal to geo-locate and track union members during and after work hours.<\/p>\n<p>That doesn&#8217;t mean they&#8217;re turning down the heat! More than 550 public defenders could be on strike as early as today, Friday, July 24th at 8:00am. Neighborhood Defender Services (NDS) Union has set a strike deadline for today, and the Bronx Defenders (BxD) Union has likewise set a strike deadline of Monday 7\/27.
