New York Giants<\/a> defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson has high praise for edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux as the team prepares for training camp.<\/p>\n

Wilson described Thibodeaux as one of the hardest-working individuals he has ever met.<\/p>\n

“He\u2019s probably one of the hardest-working individuals that I\u2019ve ever met. He is a ‘glue guy’ from a team standpoint, from a unit standpoint,” Wilson told the New York Post<\/a>. “He\u2019s well-respected. He\u2019ll speak his mind.<\/p>\n

“He\u2019s a guy that his teammates love being around him, and he wants somebody that\u2019s always around that\u2019s just true and honest with him \u2026 because he\u2019s going to have some crazy questions. I think he\u2019s comfortable being around this coaching staff. We accept him for who he is and what he represents.”<\/p>\n

Thibodeaux enters the final year of his rookie contract after the Giants exercised his fifth-year option. He is projected as a rotational player behind Brian Burns and Abdul Carter. The team listened to trade offers this offseason but kept him when the packages fell short of expectations.<\/p>\n

Teammates have also spoken highly of him. Burns called Thibodeaux\u2019s handling of external noise and consistent work ethic inspirational<\/a>. Position coach Charlie Bullen has similarly highlighted Thibodeaux\u2019s effort and intentional approach this offseason.<\/p>\n

Wilson\u2019s comments signal that the coaching staff values Thibodeaux\u2019s presence and leadership within the defensive unit heading into 2026.<\/p>\n
