Sir David Beckham<\/a> found himself jumping for cover during a family Bonfire Night<\/a> celebration that didn\u2019t quite go to plan.<\/p>\n

The former England footballer, 50, was filmed by wife Lady Victoria Beckham setting off fireworks in the courtyard of their home on Wednesday, only for one to go off unexpectedly close by.<\/p>\n

\u201cCareful!\u201d Victoria could be heard warning in the clip shared to her Instagram stories, before laughing as her husband flinched at the loud bang. \u201cAre you alright, babe? Do you not like that, babe?\u201d she teased, captioning the post: \u201cThat\u2019s how the Beckhams do firework night!\u201d<\/p>\n

The low-key celebration came after a whirlwind few days for the family, who gathered to toast Beckham\u2019s long-awaited knighthood<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Friends and relatives joined him for dinner at Gordon Ramsay<\/a>\u2019s restaurant in Chelsea following the investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle<\/a>, where his parents Ted, 77, and Sandra, 76, proudly watched him receive the honour from King Charles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the moment, Beckham told The Sun: \u201cToday has been such an emotional day \u2014 more emotion than nerves, in all honesty. There have been a few tears and a lot of emotion. It\u2019s been a very special day. To have my parents there, my wife and my children, it makes it a very emotional day.\u201d<\/p>\n

The football legend, who first received an OBE in 2003, said being knighted by the monarch he has long admired was the culmination of a lifelong dream. \u201cTo receive such an important honour from His Majesty the King \u2014 one of the most elegant men, and someone from the most important and respected institution in the world \u2014 it\u2019s something we can all be proud of as a family,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Victoria, 50, and their younger children Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14, were all on hand to celebrate the milestone.<\/p>\n

Eldest son Brooklyn, 26, was notably absent<\/a> however and has remained silent on social media since the honour was announced.<\/p>\n

Reports suggest the aspiring chef has not publicly congratulated his father, instead focusing on promoting his Cloud23 hot-sauce brand.<\/p>\n
