The former\u00a0SNL\u00a0writer will play nine NYC venues in January 2027 as part of his Mulaney Takes Manhattan comedy tour, as first reported by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.today.com\/popculture\/john-mulaney-takes-manhattan-new-york-shows-venues-dates-tickets-2027-rcna589431\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Today Show<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The venues include the Music Box Theatre on Broadway, as well as Carnegie Hall and\u00a0Radio City Music Hall. I filmed a special at Radio City\u2014to go back there, it\u2019s going to be really cool.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Though Mulaney is primarily known as a comedian, he has appeared on Broadway twice. The first time was in 2016 when he created and starred in\u00a0<a data-crosslink=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/playbill.com\/production\/oh-hello-on-broadway-lyceum-theatre-2016-2017\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Oh, Hello on Broadway<\/a> with <a data-crosslink=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/playbill.com\/person\/nick-kroll\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nick Kroll<\/a>. He last appeared in 2024 as a celebrity guest star in\u00a0<a data-crosslink=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/playbill.com\/production\/all-in-comedy-about-love-broadway-hudson-theatre-2024\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">All In: Comedy About Love<\/a>. Theatre fans may best know Mulaney for creating the spoof documentary\u00a0Original Cast Album: Co-Op, where he parodied the famed 1970 documentary\u00a0Original Cast Album: <a data-crosslink=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/playbill.com\/production\/company-alvin-theatre-vault-0000000885\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Company<\/a>,\u00a0which detailed the difficult process of recording the cast album for the Stephen Sondheim-George Furth musical\u00a0Company.
