He was not seriously injured. The 42-year-old attacker was arrested.<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened about 10:50 a.m. at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.schools.nyc.gov\/schools\/QACJ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Jewish Institute of Queens<\/a> on Woodhaven Blvd. in Woodhaven.<\/p>\n<p>Sources said the suspect showed up at the private school holding a hammer. Security was able so stop him and take the hammer away, but as they were leading him out of the building he fought back, broke free and attacked the boy.<\/p>\n<p>The attack comes just days after a man shouting \u201cAllahu Akbar\u201d st<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/2026\/07\/25\/suspect-in-uws-stabbing-rampage-facing-40-years-for-hate-crime-spree-prosecutors\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">abbed an Asian man and a Jewish man in back-to-back broad-daylight attacks on the Upper West Side<\/a>.
