A 26-year-old man was arrested for gunning down a man in Queens<\/a> and then speeding off on a moped as the victim\u2019s wife looked on in horror, cops said.<\/p>\n

Luis Belis was apprehended in Georgia and charged with murder for the fatal shooting of Jair Javier Vinces-Cobena on March 13.<\/p>\n

Vinces-Cobena, 36, was shot multiple times by the moped-riding gunman on 55th Ave., just around the corner from his 98th St. apartment in Corona, shortly before 8 p.m., according to law enforcement.<\/p>\n

A NYPD spokeswoman said the suspect, who lives in Lawrenceville, Georgia, has no prior criminal record in New York City. It remains unclear what spurred the deadly shooting.<\/p>\n

\u201cI heard pop! pop! pop! It was fast,\u201d a neighbor, who would only identify himself as Ray, told the Daily News. \u201cI heard a girl say, \u2018Oh, my God! Help! help!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Vinces-Cobena was shot once in the head and repeatedly throughout his body, cops said. Medics rushed him to Elmhurst Hospital<\/a>, where he died.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis wife saw the whole thing,\u201d Luca Estrella, 42, owner of Estrella Auto Repairs around the corner from the shooting, said shortly after the shooting.<\/p>\n

Estrella said Vinces-Cobena helped out at a pop-up car wash on the block, but a family member who declined to give his name said the victim didn\u2019t work there.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was a hard worker,\u201d said Estrella, who described Vinces-Cobena as a \u201cpretty boy, with his hair always combed to the back.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI always saw him like a family man,\u201d the repair shop owner said. \u201cHe always said hello to me.
