Pure Gym<\/a>, a\u00a0 fitness club chain, is \u201ccoming soon\u201d to 660 Columbus Avenue (at West 92nd Street), according to the website and signage at the space. The gym has over 50 locations<\/a> in New York, as well as other locations in New Jersey, Maryland, and Virginia. Pure Gym features cardio equipment, free weights, personal trainers, and flexible memberships. According to the website, the Columbus Avenue location will be open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We will update when we have more information and an expected opening date. Party City<\/a>, which closed<\/a> in 2025 was the last tenant in the space. \"\"<\/a>A chiropractic center has moved into the former location of Peter\u2019s pharmacy, which closed in 2017.<\/p>\n

Kiro, <\/a>a chiropractic care center, opened on July 16th at 652 Amsterdam Avenue (between West 91st and West 92nd streets), founder Sherjan Husainie told West Side Rag in an email. Kiro is a membership-only facility, providing spinal adjustments and light soft tissue work by licensed and trained chiropractors. According to their website, they treat symptoms of spinal arthritis, degenerative disc disease, bulging discs, and herniated discs along with shoulder injuries, neck pain, elbow, and knee pain. New patient appointments cost $39 and memberships are $180 per month with no contracts, Husainie said. Appointments can be booked online or by calling the center. Walk-ins are not accepted. Kiro has other locations<\/a> in NYC including Nolita, Upper East Side, Columbus Circle, and Williamsburg. Peter\u2019s Pharmacy, which closed <\/a>in 2017, was the last tenant in the space.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The new home of Dew Nail Spa.<\/p>\n

Dew Nail Spa, a nail salon, opened on July 25th at 2605 Broadway (between West 98th and West 99th streets). The nail spa is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week, and offers manicures, pedicures, and eyebrow and eyelash services, owner Joyce Wan, who has more than 10 years of experience, told West Side Rag during a visit. Facial services will be available soon, Wan added. The spa is offering a grand opening discount of 20% through the end of August. Cleanport, a dry cleaner, was previously in the space before moving next door. (Thanks to Arianna for the tip.)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Cajun Halal Platters has been closed by the New York Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.<\/p>\n

Halal Cajun Platters<\/a>, a halal and restaurant, has been ordered to close its location at 2707 Broadway (between West 103rd and West 104th streets), after failing a July 20th inspection by the New York Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. The report <\/a>listed 74 violations including: handwashing facilities not up to code, live roaches, and failure to follow required refrigeration procedures.<\/p>\n
