A health-focused eatery is set to grow its presence in Manhattan this fall.<\/p>\n
Founded by friends Sam Eckstein and Jordan Feldman, Springbone Kitchen will join the lineup at the recently announced The Market Hall<\/a>\u00a0at Manhattan West.<\/p>\n The 34,000-square-foot hall will feature 12 casual dining concepts, including Springbone Kitchen, along with an independent full-service restaurant, a full-service indoor bar, a rooftop terrace bar and retail offerings.\u00a0<\/p>\n Other announced concepts include Alfalfa, BKLYN Larder, Matter, Shifka, Super Burrito and Sushi Counter.<\/p>\n Springbone Kitchen grew out of the founders\u2019 struggle to find time to prepare nourishing home-cooked meals and a lack of healthy takeout and delivery options, prompting them to create their own solution, according to the website.<\/a><\/p>\n The eatery specializes in bowls, broths and soups. Guests can also purchase frozen bone broth to take home or have it shipped nationwide.<\/p>\n Standout menu items include the \u201cGrandma\u2019s Chicken and Rice,\u201d made with chicken thigh, bone broth rice, lemon-garlic broccoli, cabbage slaw, cashew white sauce and hot sauce; the \u201cLiquid Gold,\u201d a bone broth with classic chicken broth, coconut milk and turmeric; and a lentil soup made with lentils, chicken bone broth, sweet potatoes, kale, celery and carrots.<\/p>\n In addition to its signature fare, the eatery serves smoothies, gluten-free cookies and brownies.<\/p>\n The upcoming location will join existing New York outposts on the Upper West Side, Upper East Side, Flatiron, Midtown West, Midtown East, Brookfield Place, the Financial District, Greenwich Village, a soup stand in Union Square, DUMBO and Williamsburg.<\/p>\n Beyond New York, Springbone Kitchen operates locations in New Jersey and Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n An official opening date has not yet been announced.
