{"id":309373,"date":"2026-07-30T00:29:34","date_gmt":"2026-07-30T00:29:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/309373\/"},"modified":"2026-07-30T00:29:34","modified_gmt":"2026-07-30T00:29:34","slug":"man-62-suffers-skull-fracture-in-nyc-subway-push-nypd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/309373\/","title":{"rendered":"Man, 62, suffers skull fracture in NYC subway push: NYPD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LONG ISLAND CITY, Queens (PIX11) \u2014 A 62-year-old man\u2019s skull was fractured when he was pushed into a pillar in a Queens subway station on Saturday, police said. <\/p>\n<p>The man was attacked after getting off the No. 7 train at the Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue subway station in Long Island City at around 4 p.m., according to the NYPD. <\/p>\n<p>The victim got into a fight with a straphanger before he was pushed and fell backwards, hitting his head on the pillar, police said. <\/p>\n<p>The man was taken to the hospital with a skull fracture and a cut on the head, according to the NYPD. <\/p>\n<p>The suspect ran out of the station after the incident.
