NEW YORK (PIX11) \u2014 The worst of this week\u2019s storms is behind us, but there are still a few showers around. <\/p>\n

There are no longer flood risks around the area. However, if you\u2019re headed to the beaches, keep in mind there is a high rip current risk and just a slight chance of minor coastal flooding later this evening.<\/p>\n

We will continue to dry out, but there\u2019s still a chance of a few scattered showers later today. Temperatures may also be a few degrees cooler by this afternoon as a system continues to pull away. <\/p>\n

After bottoming out in the 60s this morning, expect highs in the upper 70s with a few locations possibly reaching the low 80s.<\/p>\n

Much warmer temperatures will arrive on Friday with highs returning to the 80s. <\/p>\n

So far, the weekend looks fantastic with Saturday being the better half. There is a chance for showers on Sunday.
