The album will also be available on vinyl through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.roughtrade.com\/en-us\/product\/theophobia\/theophobia?algolia_query_id=7f4f4adaa2e504d85a41199df1241770&amp;algolia_object_id=57967299625291&amp;algolia_index=shopify_prod_products&amp;algolia_position=1#57967299625291\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Rough Trade<\/a>, available for pre-order for $29.99.<\/p>\n<p>Founded by childhood friends Dylan Mars Greenberg (lead singer) and Matt Ellin (lead guitar and vocals), Theophobia formed back in 2019 and, over time, has brought art rock to a new level. Inspired by 70s art rock bands\/songwriters like Sparks, Roxy Music and Jim Steinman, Theophobia refuse to be anyone but themselves in their music and on stage, where they showcase charismatic performances, prominent visual components and elements of theater.<\/p>\n<p>The band has grown to include guitarist Alan Worm, pianist Michael Butterly, bassist Nick Cerola and drummer Chris Michaels.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/album-art.jpeg\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-137861998\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/album-art.jpeg\" alt=\"Theophobia's self-titled album will be released on July 31.\" width=\"1100\" height=\"1100\" title=\"New York City's Theophobia to release first full-length album online and on vinyl 2\"  \/><\/a>Theophobia\u2019s self-titled album will be released on July 31.Album Art by Kelly Campanile\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTheophobia bring[s] unabashed ambition, humor and artistic indulgenge to DIY. The type of indulgence that will remind you of the endless possibilities of music as an artform in its ability to expand our capacity of expression and take in the full range [of] our experiences, processing the good, bad and ugly into something bright, bold, beautiful and big!\u201d said Insecurity Hits, the indie music label that represents Theophobia, said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The album will also be released in the United Kingdom via HX Records.\n<\/p>\n<p>To celebrate the release of the new album, Theophobia will be hosting a release show on Aug. 8 at Main Drag Music, located at 50 South 1st St. in Brooklyn. Theophobia will headline the show, plus there will be performances from Danny Ayala, 95 Bulls, and Slugbug. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the show kicking off at 7:30.
