(WCAX) &#8211; Nearly 13% of people in New York\u2019s North Country are food insecure, according to a new \u201cState of Hunger Report\u201d from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.feedingamerica.org\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.feedingamerica.org\/\">Feeding America<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The report examined six counties in the North Country and found that about one in six children and one in eight adults are food insecure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI think there are counties in the North Country, like Franklin County, Clinton County, that are some of the highest in the state,\u201d said Tom Nardacci, CEO of the Regional Food Bank.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Regional Food Bank met with partnering organizations Thursday to discuss ways to deliver more food to families in need.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI think they\u2019re great because there are ideas that are happening in other regions that we may have not known about otherwise until coming to an event like this. So, I think having these open conversations are beneficial.
