LIV Golf continues the final stretch of the season at this week\u2019s LIV Golf New York<\/a>, the 11th tournament of the 2026 schedule.<\/p>\n

KEY STORYLINES <\/p>\n

After playing in 10 different countries for the first 10 tournaments of the 2026 season, LIV Golf returns to the United States for the second time in this season, having previously played in Virginia<\/p>\n

Trump National Golf Course Bedminster will host its third LIV Golf tournament, having previously hosted tournaments in the 2022 and 2023 seasons<\/p>\n

The course becomes the eighth different course to host three or more LIV Golf tournaments<\/p>\n

Season-long points leader Jon Rahm is closing in on his third consecutive Individual Championship, although his lead over his primary pursuer, Bryson DeChambeau, was reduced by more than 100 points after LIV Golf United Kingdom<\/p>\n

Rahm, captain of Legion XIII, looks to bounce back from his T23 finish in the UK \u2013 the first time he has finished outside the top 20 in any of the 35 LIV Golf regular-season tournaments that he\u2019s completed<\/p>\n

Ripper GC\u2019s Lucas Herbert enters Bedminster off his record-setting 30-under performance<\/a> to win in the UK for his second wire-to-wire victory in the last four LIV Golf tournaments<\/p>\n

The all-Australian Rippers won the team title in the UK and hope to duplicate their feat at Bedminster in 2023 when they won their first-ever team trophy<\/p>\n

Smith won the individual title at Bedminster in 2023, the most recent of his three individual tournament wins<\/p>\n

In winning for the third time this season, Ripper has closed the gap to less than three points over 4Aces GC in the season-long team standings<\/p>\n

Legion XIII\u2019s Tyrrell Hatton has finished 1st (Andalucia) and 2nd (UK) in his last two LIV Golf starts<\/p>\n

33 players who competed in the 2023 tournament in Bedminster will be in the 57-man field this week<\/p>\n

RETURN TO BEDMINSTER \"\"\"Cameron<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been nearly three years since Ripper GC Captain Cameron Smith won his last LIV Golf individual title. His 2023 victory at Bedminster remains the largest margin of victory for any individual winner in league history, as he finished at 12 under to beat Anirban Lahiri by seven strokes.<\/p>\n

Smith and 32 other players who were in the field that week will return for this week\u2019s LIV Golf New York at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s always nice going back to a place you\u2019ve played well before,\u201d Smith said.<\/p>\n

Smith and his Rippers claimed both trophies in 2023, and they\u2019ll enter this week with plenty of momentum after sweeping the trophies at LIV Golf United Kingdom presented by JCB.<\/p>\n

Lucas Herbert posted his second wire-to-wire victory in his last four LIV Golf starts, shooting a record-setting 30 under to win by six strokes. Smith added a solo fourth \u2013 his best result of the season \u2013 as the Rippers won for the third time in 2026 as they chase points leader 4Aces GC.<\/p>\n

In addition to Smith\u2019s win in 2023, veteran teammate Marc Leishman tied for seventh. Asked what he remembers about Bedminster, Smith replied that \u201cthe golf course was so good, and it was so hard. \u2026 You had to hit fairways, and you had to scramble good \u2013 and I was able to do that that week.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Smith, Leishman and reserve player Travis Smyth (filling in for injured Elvis Smylie) are familiar with Bedminster, Herbert is playing it for the first time. Smith is confident that his team can continue its hot streak.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Australians in general like really tough golf courses \u2013 and this one is probably one of the toughest ones we\u2019ll have on the schedule all year,\u201d Smith said. \u201cCan\u2019t wait to get back there.\u201d<\/p>\n

LIV Golf is returning to Trump National Bedminster for the first time since 2023<\/p>\n

The course hosted LIV Golf tournaments in each of the first two years of the league, with Cameron Smith (individual) and Ripper GC (team) winning in 2023; the previous year, Henrik Stenson (individual) and 4Aces GC (team) took home the trophies<\/p>\n

Famed architect Tom Fazio designed the course, which debuted in 2004<\/p>\n

The course has been ranked among the top 100 courses in America on multiple occasions by Golf magazine, while Golf Digest ranked it among the top 5 best new private courses in 2009 and 2010<\/p>\n

The course hosted the 2017 U.S. Women\u2019s Open won by Korea\u2019s Sung Hyun Park<\/p>\n

At 7,651 yards, the course is the second-longest played through the first 11 tournaments of the 2026 season; only Trump National Washington D.C. is longer (7,679 yards)<\/p>\n

Grass types include Bentgrass for fairways and greens, Kentucky Bluegrass for rough and Sheeps Fescue for native rough<\/p>\n

Numerous bird nesting boxes supplied by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service have been placed throughout the property, with a focus to attract North America\u2019s smallest falcon, the American kestrel<\/p>\n

The Metropolitan Golf Association honored the club with its National Environmental Award in 2007<\/p>\n

CHANGES SINCE 2023<\/p>\n

Although the routing for this week\u2019s LIV Golf New York remains the same as the league\u2019s last visit to Bedminster in 2023, there are a handful of changes.<\/p>\n

Total course yardage has been lengthened by more than 125 yards, primarily due to these adjustments:<\/p>\n
