I had to see what all the hype was about. When word spread that a local spot was serving an insane seafood loaded platter, I ran straight to Queens. The Golden Grillers in Jamaica is dishing out a salmon platter that is breaking the internet.

It starts on the flat top. The chef seasons fresh salmon fillets with a heavy rub. Sizzle. Then, he presses them down to build that perfect outer crust.

Next comes the assembly of the container. He scoops a massive serving of fragrant basmati rice into the base. Then comes fresh lettuce, seasoned chickpeas, and pickled jalapeños for a punchy kick. A handful of crispy fries goes right next to the rice. Loaded.

Now for the magic. He squirts a healthy amount of sweet honey sriracha glaze directly over the searing salmon on the grill. It bubbles up and coats the fish in a sticky, shiny glaze. Unreal. He slides those glazed salmon fillets right over the bed of rice and veggies.

Then comes the double sauce action. He drizzles a generous amount of dark jerk sauce across the top. Next, a heavy coating of their creamy garlic cilantro sauce gets poured over everything. Drenched. The combination of sweet, spicy, and savory is a total game-changer.

Look at that bite. The salmon breaks apart so easily with a fork. Moist, tender, and flaking perfectly with every single scoop. Flaky salmon paired with sticky sauce, hot fries, and seasoned rice. The flavor explosion is real.

If you consider yourself a true seafood fan, this spot needs to be on your list immediately. Who is hungry?

I had to see what all the hype was about.
