A federal judge in Rhode Island ordered the Trump administration Thursday to find the money to fully fund SNAP benefits for November.\u00a0The ruling by U.S. District Judge John J. McConnell Jr. on Thursday was in response to a challenge from cities and nonprofits complaining that the administration was only offering to cover 65% of the maximum benefit. The government said it will rely on $4.65 billion on emergency funding.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0Nancy Pelosi won’t seek reelection, ending her storied career in the U.S. House<\/a><\/p>\n

Speaker Emerita\u00a0Nancy Pelosi\u00a0will not seek reelection to the U.S. House, bringing to a close her storied career as not only\u00a0the first woman\u00a0in the speaker’s office but arguably the most powerful in American politics. Pelosi, who has represented San Francisco for nearly 40 years, announced her decision Thursday.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0Most major airports on list of hubs where flights will be restricted starting Friday<\/a><\/p>\n

Airports in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York are among the 40 major hubs that will see flights reduced 10% starting Friday in response to air traffic controller staffing issues,\u00a0according to a list distributed to airlines and obtained by The Associated Press. About 13,000 controllers have been required to work without pay during the shutdown, now in its 37th day.<\/p>\n
