A cleaning train caught fire in a lower Manhattan subway station early Tuesday morning, injuring 14, officials say.<\/p>\n
The blaze broke out just after 2 a.m. in Astor Place station, the fire department said, with over 140 emergency responders at the scene. Train delays before the morning commute rush are expected.<\/p>\n

Fire breaks out at Astor Place Tuesday<\/p>\n
A vacuum train was reported to be on fire early Tuesday morning, injuring both Metropolitan Transit Authority workers and firefighters, the FDNY said.<\/p>\n
Of the 14 injured, eight were MTA workers, and six were firefighters. Thirteen of the victims were treated at hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries, the agency said, while another refused medical transport.<\/p>\n
The fire was under control at around 5:30 a.m.<\/p>\n
Train delays after fire<\/p>\n
The 4, 5, and 6 train are all running with severe delays in both directions, the MTA said Tuesday morning. Despite delays, service has resumed at regular stops in all stations for both directions.<\/p>\n
