Merrily We Roll Along<\/a>‘s Corey Mach<\/a>, who originated the role of Shakespeare in the North American tour of & Juliet<\/a>, steps into the\u00a0same part on Broadway beginning\u00a0August 4 at the Stephen\u00a0Sondheim Theatre.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mach\u00a0succeeds Drew Gehling<\/a>, who played\u00a0his final performance August 2.\u00a0Mach’s other Broadway credits include Kinky Boots<\/a>, Hands on a Hardbody<\/a>, and Godspell<\/a>. On tour, he has been seen in Wicked<\/a>, Flashdance the Musical, and Rent, while his screen credits include Uncoupled, FBI, The Blacklist, and Elsbeth.<\/p>\n

As previously reported,\u00a0Ben Jackson Walker<\/a>, who made his Broadway debut creating the role of Romeo in & Juliet, will
\n return to the same part in the long-running jukebox musical\u00a0beginning August 13. Walker will follow Liam Pearce<\/a>, who is set to play
\nhis final performance August 9.<\/p>\n

The company also features\u00a0Gianna Harris<\/a> as
\nJuliet, Alison Luff<\/a> as Anne, Michael Iv\u00e1n Carrier<\/a> as May, Chrissy Metz<\/a>
\nas Ang\u00e9lique, and Nathan Levy<\/a> as Fran\u00e7ois. NSYNC star Joey Fatone<\/a> and
\nTony winner Paulo Szot<\/a> are sharing the role of Lance throughout the
\nsummer.<\/p>\n

The ensemble includes Gabe Amato<\/a>, Daniel Assetta<\/a>, Reese
\nBritts, Nicholas Cooper<\/a>, Halima Dodo<\/a>, Jhailyn Paige Farcon<\/a>, Makai
\nHernandez, Joomin Hwang<\/a>, Elsa Keefe<\/a>, Alaina V\u00ed Maderal, Daniel J.
\nMaldonado, Mackenzie Meadows<\/a>, Esosa Oviasu<\/a>, Cassie Silva<\/a>, TJ Tapp<\/a>, Zalah
\n Vallien, Darien Van Rensalier<\/a>, and Romy Vuksan<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n

Currently in its fourth summer on Broadway, & Juliet opened in November 2022 and celebrated its 1,500th performance at the Stephen Sondheim June 23.<\/p>\n

Nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, & Juliet flips
\n the script on the William Shakespeare classic, imagining what would
\nhappen next if Juliet hadn\u2019t ended it all over Romeo. Featuring a book
\nby David West Read<\/a>, the score includes famous pop songs written by Max
\nMartin, including \u201cSince U Been Gone,\u201d \u201cRoar,\u201d \u201cI Want It That Way,\u201d and
\n \u201cConfident.\u201d<\/p>\n

The production also has direction by Luke Sheppard<\/a>,
\nchoreography by Jennifer Weber<\/a>, musical supervision, orchestrations, and
\n arrangements by Bill Sherman<\/a>, scenic design by Soutra Gilmour<\/a>, costume
\ndesign by Paloma Young<\/a>, lighting design by Howard Hudson<\/a>, sound design
\nby Gareth Owen<\/a>, video projection design by Andrzej Goulding<\/a>, hair, wig,
\nand makeup design by J. Jared Janas<\/a>, and musical direction and
\nadditional orchestrations by Dominic Fallacaro<\/a>.<\/p>\n

U.S. casting is by Stephen Kopel<\/a> and Carrie Gardner<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The international hit, which opened at the Sondheim
\nNovember 17, 2022 following a run in the West End, was the first new
