President Donald Trump didn\u2019t hold back when commenting on former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi\u2019s retirement. <\/p>\n

The frequent Trump antagonist announced via video on Thursday that she will not seek re-election, Fox News reported.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cThere has been no greater honor for me than to stand on the House floor and say, \u2018I speak for the people of San Francisco.\u2019 I have truly loved serving as your voice in Congress, and I\u2019ve always honored the soul of Saint Francisco \u2014 \u2018Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.\u2019 The anthem of our city,\u201d Pelosi says in the video.<\/p>\n The California Democrat said, \u201cThat is why I want you, my fellow San Franciscans to be the first to know I will not be seeking re-election to Congress. With a grateful heart, I look forward to my final year of service as your proud representative as we go forward.\u201d<\/p>\n Pelosi served two stints as House speaker, from 2007 to 2011 and again from 2019 to 2023.<\/p>\n She famously spearheaded two successful, Democrat-led House impeachment proceedings against Trump during his first term. <\/p>\n The GOP Senate acquitted Trump both times. <\/p>\n Pelosi also made headlines when she tore up a copy of a State of the Union address as it was being delivered by Trump on live television in 2020. <\/p>\n Trump on Thursday celebrated news of Pelosi\u2019s retirement. <\/p>\n The president said, \u201cThe retirement of Nancy Pelosi is a great thing for America.\u201d<\/p>\n Trump called his former House antagonist \u201cevil,\u201d \u201ccorrupt,\u201d and \u201conly focused on bad things for our country.\u201d<\/p>\n The president continued, \u201cShe was rapidly losing control of her party and it was never coming back.
