\n\tThe city of Brooklyn came together for a two-day celebration honoring the life, legacy, and cultural influence of the late Bashar \u201cPop Smoke<\/a>\u201d Jackson with the annual\u00a0Pop Smoke Day\u00a0and\u00a0Pop Smoke Fashion Gala, presented by the\u00a0Shoot For The Stars Foundation.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe events served as both a heartfelt tribute and a celebration of a legacy that continues to shape music, fashion, and culture. Through the vision of his mother,\u00a0Audrey \u201cMah Smoke\u201d Jackson, the annual events have grown into a movement centered around community, creativity, opportunity, and empowering the next generation.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBlack Smoke has always been about more than clothing,\u201d shared Jackson. \u201cIt\u2019s about continuing Shar\u2019s vision by creating opportunities for emerging creatives, celebrating our culture, and inspiring the next generation to dream bigger than they ever imagined.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOn July 20, which would have been his 27th birthday, Pop Smoke Day welcomed thousands of community members, families, youth organizations, local leaders, artists, and supporters to Canarsie Park for a free family festival of celebration rooted in service and neighborhood pride. <\/p>\n

\n\tThrough the Shoot For The Stars Foundation<\/a>, the annual event featured a community parade, youth basketball championship, live entertainment, games, educational resources, health initiatives, giveaways, and programming designed to inspire Brooklyn\u2019s youth while honoring one of its own. <\/p>\n

\n\tSiriusXM host and media personality\u00a0Swaggy Sie broadcast live from the event and helped bring the day\u2019s energy and emotion to listeners nationwide while celebrating the artist she knew both personally and professionally.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn the following evening (July 21), the celebration continued as the\u00a0Brooklyn Museum<\/a>\u00a0hosted the annual\u00a0Pop Smoke Fashion Gala, an elegant black-tie fundraiser celebrating the late artist\u2019s influence on fashion, music, and culture.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Swaggy Sie, who reflected on his larger-than-life personality, unwavering belief in his hometown, and impact, hosted the event, which blended luxury fashion, live performances, philanthropy, and storytelling. DJ AK kept the energy high throughout the night as guests gathered to celebrate Pop Smoke\u2019s lasting imprint on style and culture.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe evening\u2019s most defining moment was the fashion showcase of\u00a0Black Smoke\u2019s \u201cDISRUPTION\u201d collection, led by Audrey Jackson alongside creative director Javier Valencia. The collection paid tribute to his fearless approach to fashion through elevated streetwear, bold silhouettes, vibrant color palettes, and signature design elements inspired by his unmistakable style. Several pieces incorporated \u201c07.20\u201d as a tribute to the artist\u2019s birthday.<\/p>\n

\n\tTo reflect Black fashion\u2019s diversity and innovation, the runway included standout collections and designs from legendary streetwear pioneer\u00a0Karl Kani, Maria Mootoo, Noni Styles, Gangwani Collection, EMVE, Hellen Sarmiento, and Scohe. The gala also featured musical performances by\u00a0Obasi Jackson, Pop Smoke\u2019s brother, reggae artist\u00a0Suckarie, and vocalist\u00a0Carlton Terrance Taylor.<\/p>\n
