A smiling Hizzoner was forced to offer up some abbreviated remarks at the Midland Beach boardwalk for the NYPD\u2019s 43rd Patrol Borough National Night Out Against Crime where some 3,500 residents and families had gathered to celebrate, the Staten Island Advance reported.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n Mayor Zohran Mamdani was met with a chilly welcome at the Midland Beach NYPD Night Out Against Crime event.<\/p>\n The Democratic socialist\u2019s appearance drew loud jeers and a tirade of profanities from attendees as he made his way up to the podium \u2014 with some shouting him down to leave, social media videos show. <\/a><\/p>\n The carefully polished Mamdani \u2014 who is known for soaking up the public spotlight<\/a> and delivering bloated speeches \u2014 embarrassingly spoke for less than a minute, wishing Staten Islanders a \u201cHappy Night Out Against Crime\u201d before being whisked off to the side while flashing a wide grin.<\/p>\n Hizzoner was on the stage for less than a minute before he was whisked away.<\/p>\n Many Staten Islanders can be seen showing their disapproval by snubbing Mamdani and giving him the \u201cthumbs down<\/a>\u201d as he was viciously heckled and escorted away from the event.<\/p>\n Many Staten Islanders relentlessly booed Mamdani as he gave a very quick speech on stage. <\/p>\n Despite the slap to his ego, the Israel-hating Mamdani made a pit stop to pose for photos with several attendees before fleeing the NYPD event, according to the outlet.\u00a0<\/p>\n
