{"id":314966,"date":"2026-08-06T05:16:26","date_gmt":"2026-08-06T05:16:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/314966\/"},"modified":"2026-08-06T05:16:26","modified_gmt":"2026-08-06T05:16:26","slug":"new-york-state-police-arrest-man-following-threatening-telephone-calls-to-state-police-troop-d-headquarters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/314966\/","title":{"rendered":"New York State Police arrest man following threatening telephone calls to State Police Troop D Headquarters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On August 3, 2026, the New York State Police arrested Kelvin Tanksley, 43, of Syracuse, following an investigation into a series of threatening telephone calls made to the New York State Police Troop D communications center in Oneida on the evening of August 2, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation determined that Tanksley placed multiple telephone calls to the Troop D communications dispatch center during which he repeatedly threatened to kill a New York State Trooper, a State Police Communications Specialist, and a protected party who is the subject of a valid New York State Order of Protection against him.
