Rabble-rousing Staten Island artist and activist Scott LoBaido suffered a cardiac arrest emergency after he attempted to confront Mayor Zohran Mamdani at a pro-cop event in the borough Tuesday night \u2014 in which the socialist mayor was mercilessly booed off stage<\/a>.<\/p>\n

LoBaido, who\u2019s been openly critical of Mamdani, tried to approach the mayor after his remarks at the Midland Beach boardwalk for the NYPD\u2019s 43rd Patrol Borough National Night Out Against Crime \u2014 but was held by police, a witness told the Staten Island Advance<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Soon after, LoBaido voiced that he wasn\u2019t \u201cfeeling well\u201d and collapsed on the ground, the witness said, prompting emergency personnel to immediately jump into action and begin performing CPR.<\/p>\n

LoBaido began breathing again and was provided with oxygen as he was loaded into an ambulance and rushed to Staten Island University Hospital.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought he was gone,\u201d the witness said. \u201cThey really did a good job.\u201d<\/p>\n

LoBaido, 61, suffered cardiac arrest and was listed in critical but stable condition Tuesday night, an SIUH spokesperson told the Advance.<\/p>\n

He posted a photo<\/a> of himself in the hospital flipping the bird that same night on Facebook, where he has more than 1 million followers.<\/p>\n

\u201cTonight, at the National Night Out event in Midland Beach, our friend Scott LoBaido collapsed after suffering what appeared to be a medical emergency,\u201d South Shore Council member Frank Morano wrote in a social media post.<\/p>\n

\u201cEmergency personnel used a defibrillator, and Scott was alert as he was being taken by ambulance to the hospital. I\u2019m told he\u2019s receiving excellent care.\u201d<\/p>\n

LoBaido \u2014 who has become famous for his political artwork, stunts and outspoken support of President Trump<\/a> \u2014 posted a video on social media before Tuesday\u2019s pro-police celebration bashing Mamdani\u2019s hiring freeze of 5,000 NYPD officers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Standing in front of a painting showing the mayor blowing up New York City, LoBaido claimed Mamdani \u201chumiliates and diminishes\u201d police officers and \u201cputs all cops\u2019 lives in danger.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mamdani, wearing a big grin, drew loud jeers and a barrage of profanities from attendees as the Democratic socialist made his way up to the podium at the National Night Out Against Crime event, social media videos show.<\/a><\/p>\n

He spoke for less than a minute, wishing Staten Islanders a \u201cHappy Night Out Against Crime\u201d before being whisked off to the side.<\/p>\n

LoBaido\u00a0made headlines last year<\/a> for blocking speed cameras by planting flowers in front of them.<\/p>\n

The artist and activist\u2019s other alleged stunts include\u00a0hanging \u201cTrump Crossing\u201d signs\u00a0in Manhattan\u00a0and releasing\u00a0100 pink, penis-shaped balloons<\/a>\u00a0outside the downtown courthouse while President Trump\u2019s hush money trial was taking place.<\/p>\n
