Singer-songwriter Neyla Pekarek will bring a\u00a0\u201cVaudevillian Extravaganza\u201d release event to New York\u00a0City and Los Angeles this month in celebration of the release of the EP for her new musical\u00a0The Queen of Magic, available now for streaming on all platforms<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Queen of Magic features five tunes from the new musical, which recounts\u00a0untold story of magician Adelaide Herrmann, who made a name for herself in a male-dominated art form.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The work\u00a0features music and lyrics by Pekarek\u2014formerly of the group The Lumineers\u2014with additional writing by Gabrielle Mirabella on the tracks \u201cGet to Work\u201d and \u201cFeed the Flame.\u201d The EP features guest vocalists Brian Cronan and Mary-Kate Morrissey. The vocal choir features Jadyn Diaz, Siobhan Drown, Ashley Wiggington, Bailey Hinkley-Grogan, and Heather Wiegert. The EP is produced by Loren Dorland.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The release event in New York City will be held at The Green Room 42 August 13, and will feature magic by Linda Hung and performances by acclaimed barbershop quartet Smoke Ring. Mia Gerachis<\/a> (Beaches)\u00a0will be the evening’s special guest.\u00a0Visit here<\/a> for tickets.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Los Angeles release event will be held at The Cat’s Crawl August 27, and will feature magic by Sansa Asylum and performances by barbershop quartet The Newfangled Four, plus special performances of brand new music from\u00a0Pekarek accompanied by guest vocalist Brian Cronan.
