Victor, N.Y. (WHAM) \u2014 The Village of Victor is getting a $4.5 million boost from the state’s New York Forward program.<\/p>\n
Mayor Sean McAdoo is excited about the opportunity the funding will bring.<\/p>\n
“It shows that the state, the region is recognizing that the village is an opportunity has many opportunities for growth, for investment and for improvement,” he said, adding now is the time for people to bring ideas to the table.<\/p>\n
“We basically have to prioritize the $4.5 million across the board and how do you maximize for those objectives that we have,” McAdoo said.<\/p>\n

McAdoo hopes the proposal can bring new life to the area while balancing the village’s historic charm.<\/p>\n “You don’t want to necessarily just tear everything down and start fresh,” he said. “But if you can take an existing building that’s 150 years old and go, ‘Hey, I can put a new facade on it, I can maybe put a small addition in the back and I can get better growth out of it,’ that’s how you get the idea of still keeping the flavor of what was there but still make it modern and accessible for people.”<\/p>\n
