WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va \u2014 Wide receiver Malik Nabers, slowly working back from his torn ACL, did his usual workload on Friday at New York Giants training camp, doing individual drills and routes on air. He simply looked the best he has this summer doing it.<\/p>\n
Nabers moved fluidly and was willing to plant and cut hard off his surgically repaired leg.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve noticed that, too,\u201d said head coach John Harbaugh. \u201cI feel like Allie (Allison Boudreau, coordinator of rehabilitation and return to play) she\u2019s worked with him. She\u2019s been working on situations where you\u2019re off-balance, landing off-balance, in unpredictable type situations that you\u2019re going to get rather than just doing normal rehab and then going out there and all of a sudden being surprised by the awkwardness of football. Try to create those as much as you can.\u201d<\/p>\n
Harbaugh said Nabers will be \u201cworking his way back into practice more and more as we go here.\u201d<\/p>\n
New York Giants edge defender Brian Burns was limited at practice. He did some 11-on-11 work, but not not a lot.<\/p>\n
\u201cBurns is just working through his ankle,\u201d Harbaugh said. \u201cMonitored his reps today.\u201d<\/p>\n
JMS leaves practice early<\/p>\n
Center John Michael Schmitz left practice early, with Harbaugh saying \u201che got his bell rung.\u201d We will have to wait to find out if Schmitz is in the concussion protocol.<\/p>\n
Skattebo working into shape<\/p>\n
Running back Cam Skattebo had a limited workload as he comes back from his dislocated ankle.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s natural. He\u2019s probably working through the football shape coming off the rehab,\u201d Harbaugh said. \u201cThat\u2019s what that was.
