To help Democrats rebuild trust, win tough races, and flip the House, Swing Left has launched an [innovative new program](https:\/\/ourgroundtruth.org) that will revolutionize how we connect with voters and potential voters at their doors.<\/p>\n
At this canvass, we\u2019ll:<\/p>\n
\u2013 Knock on **every door** in the neighborhood, not just the voters campaigns usually talk to<\/p>\n
\u2013 Have real conversations that **listen deeply** to voters\u2019 concerns, identifying net new voters for the Democratic Party and candidates <\/p>\n
\u2013 Add these new voters\u2019 partisanship scores, likelihood to vote, and contact info directly into the Democrats\u2019 voter database so they will follow up with persuadable folks<\/p>\n
\u2013 Gather insights to share with campaigns, so they can be responsive to people\u2019s needs and smarter with their messaging, targeting, and outreach<\/p>\n

**About the program**<\/p>\n
This isn\u2019t traditional canvassing\u2014it\u2019s a whole new way of talking to voters. Together, we\u2019ll gather authentic insights from communities, use cutting-edge tools to capture what we hear, and share it back with campaigns to strengthen their efforts.<\/p>\n
\u2013 *Why we\u2019re started early and will continue every year:* We launched a year ahead of the midterms to build power before campaigns got off the ground. Likewise, we\u2019ll continue this important work through 2027 ahead of 2028. (And beyond.)<\/p>\n
\u2013 *How we\u2019ll go big:* knocking every door, not just the ones the voter database tells us to, so every conversation builds a more complete picture of the electorate.<\/p>\n
\u2013 *How we\u2019ll go deep:* practicing empathetic listening and real conversations that uncover voters\u2019 internal conflicts around voting and around party affiliation, getting to the \u201cground truth,\u201d not just checking boxes on a script.<\/p>\n
