Hunter Biden has revealed his father\u2019s prostate cancer has spread and is \u201cvery painful\u201d for the former president.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe cancer has spread, metastasized into his bones and further,\u201d he told the BBC about former President Biden Friday. \u201cIt\u2019s very painful and it\u2019s very debilitating in many respects.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biden, 83, announced last May that he was diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really sad to watch,\u201d Hunter Biden said. \u201cThe only thing that I\u2019d say about my dad, about his health right now, is I wish he would complain more, because it\u2019s not good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joe Biden has continued to play a public role, appearing with Maryland Democrats at their \u201cFight Back and Win\u201d gala near Baltimore in late June.<\/p>\n

Earlier that month, he appeared at the opening of the new Obama library in Chicago. He drew comments when he came to a lectern afterward and asked, \u201cWhere\u2019s my granddaughter?\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Hunter Biden, 56, noted that his dad is \u201cstill out there.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s still doing his thing,\u201d he said. \u201cHe so believes in this country.\u201d<\/p>\n

The elder Biden is still working on his memoir, \u201cPromise Me, America,\u201d with a planned release after the midterms.<\/p>\n

Former first lady Jill Biden last week told interviewer Kelly Ripa that she had noticed a potential health concern while in the White House when her husband would get up to use the bathroom as many as \u201cseven times a night.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jill Biden, 75, says she flagged it to White House physicians at the time and said she \u201cthought it was addressed.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, after Biden left the White House in January 2025 and the issue continued, she said she urged him to seek additional medical care.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut when it continued when we got out of the White House, I said, \u2018Joe, we\u2019ve got to go up to Jeff in Philly \u2013 something\u2019s wrong\u2019,\u201d she told the \u201cLet\u2019s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa\u201d host on Sirius XM.<\/p>\n

Jill Biden revealed in June that the former president \u201cwill have to live with cancer for the rest of his life, which means he\u2019s on special medicines.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biden\u2019s May 2025 announcement said he was diagnosed with an \u201caggressive form\u201d of prostate cancer after experiencing urinary symptoms and that doctors had discovered a \u201cnodule\u201d on his prostate.<\/p>\n

Last October, his office said he was undergoing radiation therapy and hormone treatment for his condition.<\/p>\n
