Whether you are hunting for the perfect slice of pizza or just want to eat your weight in fresh pasta, here is everything happening in the neighborhood this fall.<\/p>\n

Paulie\u2019s final push & 9\/11 tribute<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, September 9 at 10:30 am, the neighborhood will welcome retired flight attendant Paul \u201cPaulie\u201d Veneto. Marking the 25th anniversary of 9\/11, he is completing his final journey on foot from Boston to Ground Zero. He has been pushing an airline beverage cart to honor the flight crews we lost. You can catch the brief, moving ceremony at East 186th Street and Arthur Avenue.<\/p>\n

Pre-Ferragosto game day at the library<\/p>\n

Want to kick off the festival vibes early? Head over to The Belmont Library & Enrico Fermi Cultural Center on Thursday, September 10 at 3 pm. All are welcome to join a special cultural program featuring Tombola, Italy\u2019s absolute favorite game of chance.<\/p>\n

The annual Ferragosto Festival<\/p>\n

This is the big one, New York. For over 25 years, the annual Ferragosto Festival has brought authentic Italian cuisine, live music, and pure old-world charm to the streets.<\/p>\n

Indulge in treats from iconic small businesses like Calabria Pork Store, Emilia\u2019s Restaurant, Artuso Pastry Shop, and Teitel Brothers. The massive street fair takes place on Sunday, September 13 from 12 pm to 6 pm.<\/p>\n

It all happens on Arthur Avenue between East 187th Street and Crescent Avenue. Additional parking is available at Fordham University (685 E Fordham Rd) for $10, with a free shuttle running all day from 11 am to 7 pm.<\/p>\n

Live doo-wop from The Belmont 4<\/p>\n

While you are shopping or dining this fall, keep your ears peeled for some timeless harmonies. Arthur Avenue\u2019s very own a cappella group, The Belmont 4, will be strolling the streets and popping into local eateries.<\/p>\n

Catch their vintage sounds on select Fridays and Saturdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. You can see them on September 19, 25, and 26, as well as October 3, 17, 23, and 24.<\/p>\n

Italian American Heritage Month celebration<\/p>\n

Celebrate Columbus Day on Monday, October 12 from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm with a live musical performance by Pane e Cioccolato. Head down to the cross-section of East 186th Street and Arthur Avenue to enjoy the nostalgic sounds of Italian classics.<\/p>\n

It is the perfect excuse to grab a cannoli and immerse yourself in the neighborhood\u2019s history.
