{"id":317452,"date":"2026-08-10T01:18:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-10T01:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/317452\/"},"modified":"2026-08-10T01:18:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-10T01:18:09","slug":"teen-stabbed-repeatedly-near-nyc-dominican-day-parade-route","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/317452\/","title":{"rendered":"Teen stabbed repeatedly near NYC Dominican Day Parade route"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 19-year-old man was stabbed multiple times near the Dominican Day Parade route in Midtown on Sunday, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The teen was repeatedly knifed in the back and chest after an argument on 42nd Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues outside of Bryant Park around 2:40 p.m., according to cops.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A 19-year-old man was stabbed multiple times near the Dominican Day Parade James Keivom for NY Post<\/p>\n<p>Medics took him to NYC Health+Hospitals\/Bellevue, where he was listed in stable condition.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Two suspects were taken into custody, but have yet to be charged as of Sunday afternoon.\u00a0The relationship between the suspects and the victim wasn\u2019t immediately clear.<\/p>\n<p>The violence came hours after elected leaders marched in the annual Dominican Day Parade James Keivom for NY Post<\/p>\n<p>The 44th annual parade runs along Sixth Avenue from 37th Street to 55th Street. <\/p>\n<p>Police detain a person at 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue following a stabbing.  James Keivom for NY Post<\/p>\n<p>The stabbing came hours after <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/08\/09\/us-news\/mamdani-mum-on-icy-relationship-with-rival-espaillat-as-the-two-keep-their-distance-in-nycs-dominican-day-parade\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mayor Zohran Mamdani<\/a> and Gov.
