More than 200 competitors from as far away as Ocean City, Maryland competed.<\/p>\n<p>Rockaway Beach lifeguard Elle Riches took second place in the distance run, and the NYC team earned third place in the run relay, thanks to Elle Riches, Amber Walters, Kathleen Conti, and Jordan Moore. NYC lifeguards also scored several top 10 finishes across the day\u2019s events.
