We\u2019re approaching that time of the year<\/a> when all of our favourite reality shows start coming back for their new seasons \u2013 RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race UK<\/a> being just one of them.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday afternoon, Drag Race UK unveiled the eclectic mix of queens who\u2019ll be put through their paces by returning judges RuPaul<\/a>, Michelle Visage<\/a>, Alan Carr<\/a> and Graham Norton<\/a> when the Bafta-nominated show returns for its eighth season in the autumn.<\/p>\n

An official press release teases \u201ca fresh batch of 12 sassy, snatched and seriously talented queens ready to race for glory\u201d, and judging from the line-up, we\u2019re inclined to believe it.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a quick guide to the new cast\u2026<\/p>\n

Alik<\/p>\n

She says: \u201cBrighton girlies have not had the best track record on Drag Race UK, but I\u2019m here to smash that curse.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am infamous in Brighton, regularly performing in Brighton\u2019s biggest gay club, and you know what, I am an icon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anita Piss<\/p>\n

She says: \u201cI deserve to be UK\u2019s next Drag Race superstar because I am bringing something completely different that you all ain\u2019t ever seen before.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s all about being cool, calm, collected but having some poise, and having a good demeanour about you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Coral-Hole Mandi<\/p>\n

She says: \u201cIf I had to describe my genre of drag, I would say I\u2019m mer-mazing! My drag is very much inspired by my love of the sea and my background in marine biology.<\/p>\n

\u201cGrowing up, I was obsessed by the ocean, sea creatures and mermaids. I always knew I wanted to be a mermaid or a creature from the deep one day.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Delta Quadrant<\/p>\n

She says: \u201cI represent a rare type of character-led drag. I have one signature distinct look. I love power dressing, shoulder pads, tailored suits and I always sashay into the boardroom with my signature bob!<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so excited to be here representing the undisputed financial capital of the UK, Darlington. Let\u2019s get down to business!\u201d<\/p>\n

Flesh<\/p>\n

She says: \u201cI want to remind people that drag is creative and powerful, but it\u2019s more than dressing up. We can create positive change, and we can do so whilst looking amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

KY Kelly<\/p>\n

She says: \u201cI am the full package. I want to win this competition as a win for the older, more mature divas, and showcase the cabaret scene. I\u2019m going to slide into this competition and make you want a little bit more KY.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lucky Roy Singh<\/p>\n

She says: \u201cMy aesthetic is culture, heritage, history, It\u2019s very much East meets West. I\u2019m very glamorous and playful, but beware, Lucky is shady but kind.\u201d<\/p>\n

ma_danni_x<\/p>\n

She says: \u201cI deserve my place in this fabulous competition, I\u2019ve worked so hard to be here, and I want to prove to the nation that I can be the ultimate winner on this massive platform. Look at her, she\u2019s an icon!<\/p>\n

\u201cBut if I have to play dirty, to win the competition, I\u2019ll play dirty, that said I\u2019m a true professional, and I\u2019m a very experienced lady!\u201d<\/p>\n

Mocha<\/p>\n

She says: \u201cI\u2019m Soho perfection blended with East London grit. Mocha is a good time girl who\u2019s a little bit kooky. My drag is all about looking cartoonish, and I also love musical theatre \u2013 Barbra Streisand is my icon.<\/p>\n

\u201cI lean towards the vintage and the showgirl. I\u2019m both fashionable and funny. I\u2019m so blessed to be both because it means I\u2019m sickening.\u201d<\/p>\n

Naya Thorn<\/p>\n

She says: \u201cIf you come to a Naya Thorn show, you\u2019re going to get a theatre performance that is going to make you feel every emotion. Are you going to feel happy or are you going to feel sad? That depends on the song, but I will always choose a song that means something to me. I just really enjoy connecting with an audience.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paris Baby<\/p>\n

She says: \u201cNobody else in the UK can do what I do, I can perform 60 numbers back-to-back, as long as I\u2019ve got my wind machine, and my wig doesn\u2019t come off, I\u2019ll just keep going.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will definitely leave my mark, my impact, and Drag Race UK will forever be changed because of Paris Baby. Period.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tequila Thirst<\/p>\n

She says: \u201cTequila is a ray of sunshine, who cannot be suppressed. Obviously, with a name like Tequila, I\u2019m the self-confessed queen of limes. I love juicy greens, hot pinks and bright citrus colours.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am a Vietnamese North Londoner, and my identity subtly informs my drag. I\u2019m here on this platform to shine bright, like a tequila glass.\u201d<\/p>\n
